Our Story
We have come a long way since our co-founders, two long-time friends Kevin Haskins, an experienced health and safety practitioner, and Chris Brown, a functional IT specialist, formed BWARE to remove the hassle and frustration from health and safety compliance. The goal was to empower organisations of all types and sizes to swiftly meet their health and safety requirements systematically, efficiently, and affordably.
Frustrated at seeing NZ companies forced to use shoddy, paper-based systems that had them wasting time and money, the duo set out to create a hassle-free and easy-to-use health and safety software system. This system would enable organisations to record, monitor, and manage their health and safety requirements in no time flat. It was then that the idea for BWARE’s flagship software product was born.
After years of serving NZ businesses, the duo realised that SMEs required something beyond user-friendly health and safety management software. At that time (and this remains the case today), most health and safety solutions consisted of either one-size-fits-all mobile apps or generic overly complex database suites. Most importantly, none of these solutions were specifically designed to help users identify and achieve their unique health and safety goals.
