Health & Safety Declaration Process Improvements

Release Date: 22nd July 2025

Thank you to everyone who provided feedback on our recent update. We’ve listened, and we’re excited to announce improvements to the Health & Safety Declaration process in response to your valuable input.

A key concern you raised was the prescriptive language used in the previous declaration. Many of you rightly pointed out that it didn’t always align with your specific health and safety systems and processes.

We’ve heard you loud and clear. We’re happy to confirm that this language has been removed. Our goal was to realign the document with its original purpose: to facilitate a shared commitment to site safety without dictating specific statements that might not suit every business.

These changes ensure the Health & Safety Declaration remains a collaborative tool, designed to support your existing safety practices and promote even safer work environments.

What’s Improvements Have We Made?

We’ve listened to your feedback and made several key enhancements to the Workplace module, focusing on flexibility, clarity, and control over your Health & Safety documentation.

To support this release, we’ve prepared the following video highlighting key improvements to the H&S Declaration process. Further details are provided below.

More Flexible Document Delivery Options

We know that one size doesn’t fit all, so we’ve introduced more ways to send your health and safety documentation to clients, contractors, and subcontractors:

Clearer Worker Sign-Off for the SSSP

We’ve refined the wording and process for worker sign-off of the Site-Specific Safety Plan to ensure it truly meets its intended purpose. This enhancement helps you meet pre-qualification expectations by providing clear evidence of worker acknowledgment of the SSSP and any linked Safe Work Plans.
Workers will now receive a request through the app to review and sign the SSSP, confirming they’ve read and understood the contents. Their signatures are then automatically captured on the SSSP sign-off page and any associated Safe Work Plans.

Recipient Verification Pop-Up for Accuracy

To prevent errors and ensure your communications reach the right people, a new pop-up will display a summary of selected recipients before sending. This feature also checks for valid email addresses and helps avoid duplicates. If you make edits to recipients, only those marked as “Not Sent” will receive new notifications, streamlining your workflow.

Simplified Return Process

You can now specify a dedicated email address for returned signed declarations. This improvement ensures that completed documents are sent directly to the correct person in your business, making your internal processes much more efficient.

Enhanced Customisation & Clean Presentation

Your documents will now look even better and be more relevant:

New Print Declaration Options for Greater Flexibility

We’ve updated the Print Declaration feature to give you more control over how Health & Safety Declarations are reviewed and sent:
