What’s New in BWARE: System Updates

We’ve recently had a steady stream of improvement requests from our members. After making these smaller, but important updates to the live system, we thought it was a good time to share them with you so you’re across what has changed and how it may help in your day-to-day use of BWARE.

These improvements are all about removing friction and ensuring you can stay compliant with confidence.

New Feature – Substance Register (Last Review Date

Some members have been penalised during SiteWise Pre-Qualifications for not displaying a last review date in their Substance Register. To resolve this, we’ve now added a Last Reviewed Date within the Hazardous Substance Inventory.

New Feature – Incident Administration

You can now set up System Group authorisation for Incident Administration. This new function gives you more flexibility in managing who can access and oversee incidents within your business. This feature allows you to control incident visibility at a system level, ensuring that administrators have oversight across the business while regular users retain focused access to their own reports.

Name Change – Short Duration Work Template

We’ve received several requests from members suggesting that the title of the Jobbing Plan template in the Workplace Module be changed to Short Duration Work. While the change is largely semantic, the volume of feedback helped inform our decision, and we’ve now updated the title accordingly.
Please note that this is a name change only and will not affect how the template functions. All existing features remain the same.

New Feature – Risk Assessment Notifications

You can now set up System Group notifications for Risk Assessments completed through the BWARE mobile app. This update brings Risk Assessments into alignment with existing notifications for Reported Hazards and Observations, giving you a consistent way to stay on top of critical safety activities.
