What’s New in BWARE: Workplace Updates & App Improvements

At BWARE, we’re always working to make health and safety management simpler, smarter, and more effective, whether you’re running a small team or managing operations across multiple sites.

In our latest update, we’re rolling out a range of powerful improvements to both the Workplace section of the web platform and the BWARE mobile app. To learn more about these changes, see the information below.

WORKPLACE CHANGES

New Plan Types

One of the most significant changes is the introduction of Plan Types. You now have five templates tailored to different work situations:

Standard – This template aligns with the BWARE system functionality, allowing you to create comprehensive Site-Specific Safety Plans tailored to your or your client’s health and safety management systems, processes, and procedures.
Principal Contractor – This template is for Main Contractors operating under their own health and safety management systems, processes, and procedures.
Contractor – Use this template if you are working alongside the Main Contractor, following both your own and the Main Contractors health and safety management systems, processes, and procedures.
Sub-Contractor - Use this template if you are working under the Main Contractor’s contractual agreement and health and safety management systems, processes, and procedures.
Jobbing – This template helps you manage essential health and safety elements for short-duration work or jobbing activities that don’t require a full Site-Specific Safety Plan.

These Plan Types adjust what fields appear in your SSSP, meaning smaller or more focused jobs won’t be overloaded with irrelevant sections. It keeps things tidy, fast, and relevant.

Simplified Site Safe Agreement

From Agreement to Declaration: A Simpler Way to Confirm H&S Commitment

We’ve listened to your feedback and made a key change to how health and safety responsibilities are acknowledged in the Site-Specific Safety Plan (SSSP).

Previously, the Site Safe Agreement required multiple steps and often led to confusion or duplicated effort. We’ve now replaced it with a more streamlined and purposeful Health & Safety Declaration, designed to:

Easier Notifiable Work Tracking

For notifiable works, you can now:

This improvement helps ensure no notifiable activity falls through the cracks, especially on complex or staged projects.

Rescue/Response Plan Is Back

Back by popular demand: You can now create and manage a Rescue/Response Plan directly within your SSSP—no extra tools required. For work involving confined spaces or hazardous tasks, this brings back an essential layer of risk planning.

Completion Button

Once a job is finished, just hit the new Completion Button in the Workplace Register to:

BWARE APP REFRESH

Alongside these web platform changes, we’ve given the BWARE App a fresh look and smoother functionality:

New look and feel with an updated design and easier navigation.
Performance improvements for faster loading and better responsiveness.
New ability to request sign-off from workers on Site-Specific Safety Plans and Safe Work Plans.
Enhanced multi-attendee sign-off for easier sign off by multiple persons.
Easily switch between dark and light themes to suit your preference and environment.
Choose between two landing page layouts for a more personalised experience.
Select multiple images from the gallery in any instance where multi-selection Is supported.
Upload multiple images directly against a single observation

WORKER MODULE UPDATE

Personal Email Field

You will be able to add a personal email to a separate field within each worker’s profile for HR record purposes.
